What the Slurry Does
By using present day technology, OCS cement slurry leaves the competition in the “dust”. With new OSHA regulations, the method of using powder products, that create airborne particles, are no longer an acceptable practice in the construction industry. With the assistance of admixtures, OCS slurry controls the chemical reaction and physical properties of Portland cement when it is mixed with water. After the admixtures effects have worn off, the hydration of the slurry reacts similar to Portland cement powder.
Increase cement efficiency
With the aid of admixtures, OCS slurry can suspend cement particles. This suspension property provides particles greater access to water which increases the hydration reaction and performance of slurry when compared to Portland powder cement. The increase in efficiency can be shown by test results illustrating better results with slurry over powder.
Particle Segregation
Particle segregation has a negative effect on slurry performance. Cement particles are three times heavier than water and rapidly fall out of suspension. Segregation makes it difficult to contain slurry in the placement area which leads to slurry runoff and uncontrolled hydration. OCS slurry controls this segregation and maintains the specified amount required by an engineer.
Dusting
With OCS slurry being in a water base matrix, airborne particles caused by poweder spread methods are eliminated. OSHA regulation prohibts methods that release airborne particles into the atmosphere that cause health safety problems, damage personal property and have a negative effect on the environment.
Producing Consistent Loads
Each load of slurry is produced by an automated, pump driven plant. The slurry is produced inside a mixing chamber that rests on top of four load cells. Each portion of the slurry is weighed by load cells as the slurry is being batched.
Placement Accuracy
OCS automated system for placing slurry on the job site provides a method that is flexible and is programmed to meet a project specified application rate. This system has the ability to equally distribute the required rate throughout the placement area or make adjustments and provide various concentration rates within the placement area. The system also takes into consideration the rate of speed which the truck is traveling and decreases or increases the slurry application depending on this speed rate.

The hydration and physical properties are controlled by the patent technology of SuperSlurry™. Using a combination of admixtures and the batching system, a slurry is produced like no other slurry in the market.
